Not-So Red Star Over Russia

No time for a proper blog tonight as I've been busy attending to other matters. So instead enjoy the spectacular footage from last week's meteor strike in Russia. To think, a few hours later and this could have been Northern England.

A few minutes later and it would have hit somewhere a couple of hundred miles west, surely?

Not at 30 to 40 thousand MPH, I am sure. FWIW I am told Inverness and then Belfast would have been on the flightpath trajectory

Oh dear. The physics of relative velocities were never my strong point.
