Acid Communism on The Cosmic Right

Reaction comes in many strange forms, and undoubtedly among its weirdest manifestations is the strength of conspiracy theories on the right. Consider for a moment the spread of QAnon, which now has an anti-paedophile protest outside Buckingham Palace among its first UK success. Conspiracy theory, however, isn't entirely the property of the fringe. In its more mainstream forms, the idea of shadowy people manipulating events is part of the conservative framing of the left and, particularly, their explanation for the young's receptivity to social liberalism and radical, anti-establishment ideas.

In this episode of ACFM courtesy of Novara Media, comrades Nadia Idle, Keir Milburn, and Jem Gilbert look at the crossing over of these right wing conspiratorial trains of thought into new age spirituality and the discourses of "wellness" and wellbeing. We've certainly seen (clumsy) attempts by the right to politicise face masks as harbingers of totalitarianism, and so we can see how it might insinuate into anti-medical establishment "alternative" medicine and associated practices.

Anyway, that's enough from me. Enjoy.

  1. The thing the left don't understand about the right is that it is not a right-wing version of being left-wing. It isn't the case that you can take the structures and approach of left wing politics and simply lift and drop the view of a ruling class on to them.

Burkean conservatism is a way of managing society. It is a formula for allowing different groups to speak, to enable different interests to work together. A diversity of opinion and open disagreement is not a sign of trouble on the right, it is a sign all is well.

  2. Apparently according to the leftist intellectuals shadowy Vladimir Putin is the reason for the success of the right!

Apparently, according to the high priests if leftist thought, if it wasn't for Putin those migrants would have been welcomed with open arms by decent British people.

Hopefully the Covid situation has put to bed once and for all that the British young are somehow good and progressive, the sociopathic, selfish little fuckers that they are. All though maybe Putin got to them!

More like they think that if it wasn't for the bombs of Putin (and especially of his lackey Assad) those poor people wouldn't be on the move in the first place.

I think Anonymous was calling the young "sociopathic" on the grounds that they don't like the lockdown, not because of their more general political views. Perhaps he's one of those environmentalists who sees Covid as a convenient excuse to impose the degrowth he thinks the planet desperately needs?

  6. I don't think the atempts of the far right to politicise facemasks have been clumsy, maybe in the UK it's been clumsy but in Europe its been a success. Berlin has had a big march while in Dublin the far right (from catholic reactionaries to out and out Nazis) mangage to get 1000 people out on a demo and they manged to attack anti fascists with weapons.

I literally couldn't give a shit what happens to the planet when i am gone. No, I am one of those who sees a very dangerous virus and sees little fuckers spreading it.

Maybe you are one of those people who doesn't give a fig for anyone else and thinks business at all costs, or maybe you are one of those right wing conspiracy theory idiots. A sort of Thatcherite on steroids.

I was reading that the majority of migrants were from Afghanistan and Libya, now remind me where those bombs were manufactured?

We know where Carty's bread is buttered, he is definitely one of those right wing people who apologises for all the crimes of the enlightened West!

In 2003 Syria and Assad took in over 1 and a half million Iraqi refugees. What prompted that you might ask?

Well unbeknownst to people like Carty, in 2003 Iraq was obliterated by utter monsters, monsters that Carty celebrates and adores of course. All this is forgotten by the likes of Carty because of all the heinous things Russia have done since, like, erm, well let Carty make this all up.

We could give the facts about the size of the US military budget, we could give the facts and data about the number of bombs dropped by country, we could give the facts about the number of overseas military bases.

We could provide facts about the energy usage of the average Westerner compared to the world average, we could provide the science for this and the implications.

But what is the point? Carty isn’t interested in facts, he has opinions to dish out and everyone is entitled to their opinion, right!

So keep on keeping on about Putin Carty, it tells us all we need to know about what you are.

That is the main sole reason for supporting free speech, we find out exactly what people are, just a shame we have to suffer the opinions!
