Is This the Campest Video in Existence?

This is Crucified by Army of Lovers, one of my all-time favourite early 90s dance tracks. Is there anything camper than this? I doubt it.



No doubt Darren will be worrying about my musical sanity. Again. Not least because it's my top old tune of the week. (Cue the sound of AVPS being dropped from blogrolls all over the shop).

    Have you seen what Army of Lovers Alex did next (well, not quite next, but quite a few years after the clip you posted). The new project is BWO. Pop with a subliminal Deleuzo-Zaroastrian-GLT subtext.

    your choice of songs for 'The Week's Top (Old) Tune' have been duly noted these last few months, and will be used against you at a later date.

    I'd have to say that the Army of Lovers are a beacon of light alongside some of those *cough* rave classics you've chosen to post in the past. :-)

    Hi jvhn, yep, I'v been keeping tabs on Mr Bard's evolution from eurodisco maestro to philosopher. I'm surprised more bands haven't taken up Deleuzian-speak.

    Darren, at least with your lot I know I won't be carted off to the gulag by a commissar for cultural enlightenment. You might force me to sit an exam tho ;) Btw, when you joined the SPGB what did you score on your test?

    Btw, did the CPGB/WW ever have a probationary and/or candidacy time period for prospective members?

    I know that a few Trotskyist organisations do, and I'm sure that I read in Crick's book that the Millies had a membership test back in the 60s and 70s.

    Now you're asking! I can't remember to be honest, I think in theory they do but in practice they don't. Workers' Power did when I was around them.

    Btw, I've been planning to write a post about the CPGB for a long time. No scandalous gossip I'm afraid, it will be strictly political. Honest!
