If we want a credible labour movement that can speak to the rising generation, we need to do something about them.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06298147857234479278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-78820573841093510822013-02-13T20:19:40.480+00:002013-02-13T20:19:40.480+00:00Gary, I'm not entirely sure what the member fo...Gary, I'm not entirely sure what the member for Stoke-on-Trent South's voting record has to do with an article written by the member for Stoke-on-Trent Central on zero hour contracts. I also think you have to take a lot of jobs...Phil,

I also think you have to take a lot of jobs data with a pinch of salt. One thing that amused me a few months ago when I was in Hanley was that I looked into one of the Employment Agency windows. Most of the jobs had the usual crap wages. One or two, however, were for various kinds of Manager that paid a bit above the odds. Several required applicants to speak this or that language.

One of these particularly caught my eye, as it requested that the applicant should be able to speak Swiss! Anyone notice the obvious error with that one?Boffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08157650969929097569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-76854136904380036502013-02-12T10:33:23.559+00:002013-02-12T10:33:23.559+00:00I thought I'd paste this from Wiki to show you...I thought I'd paste this from Wiki to show you what is going on.
'devout' my arse.

In 2007 Flello was accused of filibustering a fellow Labour backbencher's private members bill. The bill, introduced by neighbouring Staffordshire MP Paul Farrelly, aimed to give temporary and agency workers similar employment rights to permanent staff. It was backed by the Unite trade union. The incident provoked an angry response in the Daily Mirror.[2]

As a devout Roman Catholic Flello wrote to a constituent to advise that he will be voting against the Government’s upcoming legislation to introduce same-sex marriage.[3]

Gary Elsbynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-91249069391942166732013-02-11T20:49:42.927+00:002013-02-11T20:49:42.927+00:00"investment has been held back by a bank-lend..."investment has been held back by a bank-lending system unfit for purpose"

Lending money to any old spiv with half an idea is what led to the problems in the first place!!

I do hope my bank is careful how they use my money!

The rest of the article hits the nail on the head though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
