However, I was advised by a very wise man to start at around chapter 10, and read the earlier chapters later. This saves you from having to confront the Hegelianism straightaway. Also, there's good secondary literature on Marx, especially the economics - eg Sweezy, Harvey, Elster, Roemer (hey, I'm a child of the 80s!). Marx is much better served by some of his commentators than other thinkers are y theirs(eg Foucault).<br />I'm also pleased to see you're reading Cixin Liu. Have you tried his Three Body Problem trilogy?
