I don't think it's relevant to anyone's political temprament, but I doubt that your desire to rah-rah some slander could be tempered by that thought.

If you don't agree with conservatives, why not try presenting ideas in contrast, as opposed to the demagoguery and demonization that I thought I left behind when I left the German democratic Republic?Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01468112380845144830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-7218565496273913922009-03-10T01:54:00.000+00:002009-03-10T01:54:00.000+00:00Phil, I blogged this too a few days ago. When you look at subscriptions per capita, several liberal states (NJ, CT) come out high. To get the less urban, conservative states in the top ten, you have to use rates per broadband-household. Those states have less broadband penetration so their porn rates look high. Urban, liberal states with lots of broadband have lower rates. NJ goes from top ten per capita to bottom ten per broadband user.Jay Livingstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06652075579940313964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-27334657883535498992009-03-03T18:32:00.000+00:002009-03-03T18:32:00.000+00:00"They're still wankers though ;)".....thank you ve..."They're still wankers though ;)"

.....thank you very much, you've been a great audience.....ianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13565935718500940885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-45764609898443291222009-03-03T18:15:00.000+00:002009-03-03T18:15:00.000+00:00Darn, what a shame. They're still wankers though ;)...Darn, what a shame.

They're still wankers though ;)Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06298147857234479278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-78553458936812466272009-03-03T15:21:00.000+00:002009-03-03T15:21:00.000+00:00Unless I missed something (and I only skimmed the ...Unless I missed something (and I only skimmed the article, which can be found here, http://people.hbs.edu/bedelman/papers/redlightstates.pdf) it doesn't actually prove anything about conservatives per se, as the analysis takes place at the aggregate rather than the individual level.

Thus it is only possible to make generalisations about the states themselves rather than the individuals within them; something the author appears to have forgotten during the interview. A typical ecological fallacy.

For more see CT: http://crookedtimber.org/2009/02/28/do-churchgoers-and-republicans-consume-more-porn/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486641877026778105.post-27553263599128985132009-03-02T21:42:00.000+00:002009-03-02T21:42:00.000+00:00It's proof that conservatives support gender equal...It's proof that conservatives support gender equality, though an example of supporting an industry where women regularly earn more than men!
