Simply shouting for socialism, as Bob also did in his spare time, is not enough...in the absence of socialism, you have to make capitalism as good as possible for the union members you represent.<br /><br />It's telling that Bob Crow's last interview called for HIGHER rather than lower wages for MPs. He himself was decently paid, and rightly so given his success in the job.<br /><br />It all rather flies in the face of the monastic "workers MP on a workers wage" demands of you know who, who normally demand union officials only earn the average wage of the workers they represent, but seemed to make an exception in this case.<br /><br />There's nothing wrong with ordinary people wanting a bigger slice of the pie to afford nicer things. The fact of the matter is that Bob knew how to fight for that collectively and very effectively.
